There are certain features for which the MyLOFT app requires the below-mentioned permissions:
1) Add VPN: This is one of the required permission for providing seamless access to institutional subscribed eResources. With VPN we are NOT monitoring all traffic of the app, the purpose of the VPN is to route traffic for subscribed eResources’ domains securely through MyLOFT Proxy servers (which have dedicated IPs for each institute).
2) Microphone Access & Speech Recognition: App has a feature of search by voice commands where we require permission for Microphone access and Speech recognition.
3) Storage Access: In Android OS, App requires additional permission of Storage access for allowing users to open some document formats outside the Application such as XLS, Doc, PPT, ACSM files.
